The top screw's position the lever, and the keyhole dimensions are the three measurements you have to determine. Use the size guide to help you.
Inline Lever/Lever
A lever/lever door handle is a contemporary handle that can be put in on doors that are new or replacement. This kind door handle is available in a variety of styles & finishes. This handle is available from several manufacturers including Avocet ERA Fullex Hoppe Mila Millenco Yale.
Fab and Fix Windsor Inline Sprung Lever Door Handle
The handles of uPVC/Composite are constructed of tough materials and are perfect for doors with multiple points that require a robust design. The handles are inline and operate with the same spindle as well as screw fixings so they can be easily fitted to doors made of uPVC/Composite, either new or old.
The handle can be positioned and angled to fit all users. The handle has been tested for endurance up to 200,000 cycles. This will ensure the quality of the finish and the performance of the handle over time. The sprung lever is adjustable to fit a broad range of locks. This is particularly useful in doors with smaller door frames in which the cylinder is further back. A shorter lever can be used for doors with a latch that can be opened by the thumb on the inside.
Lever Pad
A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc functions differently to the lever type handles that are found on the majority of doors. These handle types are either operated by a single spindle or by two spindles inline or offset. They are usually employed on UPVC doors with double glazing. They come in a variety of finishes & variations.
The handles are available in a variety of finishes, including White Chrome, and Gold. The finish is compliant with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, giving the handle a high degree of durability and performance for the intended use.
All UPVC handle lever pads include a spindle and screws, and can be fitted on a uPVC door. The backplate fixation centres of 211mm permit a larger handle, which is typically a benefit when replacing an old or damaged multi-point door lock mechanism. The levers for these handles have springs, which can solve the problem of door handles that move out of their horizontal position when not in use.
It is important to ensure that the PZ dimensions of both the multipoint lock and the uPVC doors when choosing a replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement is often known as the "handle centre" or "cylinder centres and is an essential aspect of matching up the correct handles.
Once you have the correct PZ size, you'll have to ensure that the lever pads and push pads are a suitable shape to fit the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) approved handles you require for your doors. They typically have of a round or square design with an internal lever and an external push pad.
Most of the UPVC lever pads we offer are sprung, which means that they return to their horizontal position when they are not in use, instead of hanging out and possibly securing in the frame. This prevents drafts and cold air from entering a home. Also, the majority of the UPVC lever pad handles are hand-operated which allows you to place them on either side of the door.
Euro Cylinder
Cylinder locks can be found on uPVC and other types of doors. They work by using a key to unlock a cylinder case that then reveals pins which can be aligned to those in the lock body and allow them to rotate the cam, thereby opening the door. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins, with both internal and external doors usually requiring different levels of security.

Selecting the right cylinder for your needs is crucial; it depends on how your doors and handles are used. For example, external doors require an extra secure cylinder, while doors inside can be secured with an ordinary cylinder. Certain cylinders are equipped with additional features that increase security, such as anti-drill or anti bump properties.
To ensure that the euro cylinder is the right size for your door, it should be measured accurately. The cylinder must be measured from the central screw hole to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn should there be one. If you are unable measure it using the lock in a fixed position, you can take it out of it. A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks, such as snapping locks, so it is crucial to make sure it's not too long.
Most newer cylinders have been designed with bump and anti-drill features included in their design. These features are designed to minimize the chances of an attack by causing the cylinder to rotate in the opposite direction. This will help to deflect the attack and keep your doors safe.
Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping. This is a more frequent type of attack on cylinders which is where the break line of the lock is attacked with a special tool to snap off the front of the cylinder and allow the door to open. This is much quicker and easier to achieve than gaining access through multipoint locks. It also leaves no evidence of a burglary, which could hinder an insurance claim.
Spring Cassette
This spring cassette is located in the base plate of your door handle. It is a spring-loaded solution to help return your multipoint lock handles to their resting position after use. These handles used to have no spring and would drop when the locking mechanism was removed. This simple component is the most effective way to fix this problem. It also stops your door from getting stuck in the closed or open position since they aren't easy to close manually.
The spring cassettes were made to be used with sprung multipoint locks. They are not compatible with unsprung handles and you'll have to cut a hole in your backplate in order for them to fit. (Please see the image for a detailed diagram). They are a replacement for existing broken or missing cassettes within the backplates of door handles of many brands of uPVC doors. They are supplied in a single unit. They have a square-cut out that accommodates an 8mm shaft.
